This sofa had clearly seen better days: the leather was heavily worn and the padding offered little comfort. In our workshop, we completely refurbished the sofa. We removed the old foam and replaced it with high-quality cold foam, making the seating firm, resilient, and durable again.

Daarna is de bank opnieuw bekleed met een frisse, moderne stof die perfect aansluit bij het model. Het resultaat is een compleet vernieuwde bank die er niet alleen als nieuw uitziet, maar ook weer jarenlang comfortabel zit.

Deze bank had nog een goede basis, maar de oude gestreepte bekleding oogde gedateerd en paste niet meer bij de gewenste uitstraling van het interieur. De stof was zichtbaar verouderd en de bank miste de frisse, verzorgde look die dit model juist zo mooi kan maken. Een perfect voorbeeld van een meubel met veel potentie, klaar voor een complete herstoffering.

Elk project begint met een basis die toe is aan vernieuwing. In deze situatie zagen we een gedateerde zithoek met slijtageplekken en een kleurenpalet dat niet langer aansloot bij de gewenste uitstraling van de ruimte. De grijze stoffen rugleuningen en de donkere zittingen oogden flets en verloren hun vorm, waardoor het zitcomfort en de visuele aantrekkingskracht minimaal waren. Een perfect startpunt voor een grondige renovatie door Meijer & Visser.

Wat een transformatie! Door te kiezen voor een gedurfde combinatie van warm oranje en diepblauw, ademt de zithoek nu karakter en moderniteit. We hebben niet alleen de stoffering volledig vernieuwd, maar ook de vulling aangepakt voor optimaal comfort. De hoogwaardige afwerking zorgt ervoor dat de bank weer jarenlang intensief gebruikt kan worden. Met deze frisse, eigentijdse look is de ruimte getransformeerd tot een uitnodigende plek waar gasten graag aanschuiven.

This project began with a solid wooden base that was still fully under development. The challenge was to transform this functional, yet bare and cold corner into an inviting and comfortable seating area. The untreated wood and open structures offered a canvas for creativity, but still lacked the warmth and comfort that Meijer & Visser could add. A true challenge that we were happy to sink our teeth into!

What a transformation! By opting for soft, grey upholstery, we've not only added warmth and comfort to the seating area, but also created a contemporary and calming aesthetic. The contrast between the natural wood and the modern upholstery creates a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. This seating area has been transformed into a beloved spot where guests or residents love to gather.

Sometimes, a piece of furniture with a strong foundation loses its luster over the years. This classic two-seater sofa was still technically in good condition, but the upholstery had faded and the cushions no longer offered the support they once did. A typical example of a quality piece of furniture awaiting expert reupholstery to once again become the radiant centerpiece of the living room.

Door te kiezen voor een prachtige jacquard-stof met een geometrisch patroon, heeft de bank een unieke en luxe uitstraling gekregen. De warme kleurschakeringen blijven trouw aan de oorspronkelijke sfeer, maar de textuur en het patroon maken het nu een echt statement-piece. Met volledig vernieuwde vulling en bijpassende sierkussens is deze bank niet alleen een lust voor het oog, maar ook weer een genot om op te zitten. Vakmanschap waar we trots op zijn!

Deze royale hoekbank was een echte blikvanger uit een ander tijdperk. Hoewel het bloemenpatroon een zekere nostalgische charme heeft, paste de uitstraling niet langer in een modern interieur. Daarnaast waren de kussens door de jaren heen hun vorm en stevigheid verloren. Een prachtig project voor Meijer & Visser om de indrukwekkende afmetingen van deze bank te combineren met een eigentijds design.

Wat een rust en klasse straalt deze bank nu uit! We hebben gekozen voor een hoogwaardige stoffering in een diepe, gemêleerde zeegroene tint. De knopen in de rugleuning zijn behouden en komen nu veel krachtiger naar voren tegen de rustige achtergrond. Naast de nieuwe look hebben we het zitcomfort naar een modern niveau getild met hoogwaardige nieuwe vulling. Deze hoekbank is getransformeerd van een gedateerd meubelstuk naar het stijlvolle middelpunt van de kamer.

Dit bijzondere, niervormige model is een zeldzaam stukje design, maar de tand des tijds was duidelijk zichtbaar. De originele goudbruine stof met klassiek motief was versleten en vervuild, waardoor de unieke lijnen van de bank bijna wegvielen tegen de achtergrond. Voor Meijer & Visser was dit het ideale project om aan te tonen dat zelfs een meubel in deze staat, mits voorzien van het juiste vakmanschap, een tweede leven verdient.

De 'voor'-situatie toont een klassieke oorfauteuil die zijn beste tijd heeft gehad. De originele bloemenprint is verbleekt en de zitting ontbrak volledig, waardoor alleen het frame en de vering nog zichtbaar waren. Een meubelstuk met een rijke historie, maar in deze staat onbruikbaar voor een modern interieur.

Thanks to the craftsmanship of Meijer & Visser, this armchair has been unrecognizably transformed. A beautiful, mixed fabric in warm earth tones was chosen, giving the classic shape of the chair a contemporary look. The seat has been completely rebuilt and reupholstered, making the chair not only a feast for the eyes, but also offering ultimate sitting comfort once again.

Zelfs de meest karaktervolle stoelen ontkomen niet aan de tand des tijds. Bij deze klassieke eetkamerstoel was de originele lederen bekleding ernstig beschadigd en uitgedroogd, waardoor het zitcomfort en de uitstraling volledig verloren waren gegaan. Het prachtige houtsnijwerk verdiende echter een tweede kans en een stoffering die de elegantie van het frame weer eer aan zou doen.

The woodwork was still in excellent condition, but the chair lacked the allure it deserved to take a prominent place in the interior.

The new upholstery accentuates the classic lines of the woodwork without making the piece of furniture heavy. This classic wooden armchair with webbing side panels was clearly in need of a thorough overhaul. The red fabric was faded and worn, and the cushions no longer offered any support. Moreover, the lacquer of the frame had become dull, preventing the beautiful details of the carving and wickerwork from coming into their own. A piece of furniture with a soul, crying out for the attention of the craftsman.

A transformation to be proud of! The frame has been fully treated, restoring the deep shine of the wood. For the upholstery, a modern fabric with a refined circular pattern in natural tones was chosen, creating a beautiful contrast with the dark wood. The cushions have been completely renewed and custom-made, ensuring the highest level of seating comfort once again. This armchair is ready to be the eye-catcher in the living room for decades to come.

Deze klassieke oorfauteuil had een opvallend rood-wit streepmotief, maar de stof was door de jaren heen verbleekt en vertoonde duidelijke gebruikssporen op de zitting en armleuningen. Het model was nog uitstekend, maar de uitstraling paste niet meer in een modern interieur.

Deze moderne relaxfauteuil had een degelijke basis, maar de oorspronkelijke gele bekleding was na jarenlang gebruik vaal geworden en vertoonde duidelijke slijtageplekken. Het abstracte patroon op de stof paste bovendien niet meer bij de huidige interieurwensen van de klant.

For the re-upholstery, we chose a dynamic, horizontally striped fabric in a refreshing green-blue color scheme. This immediately gives the chairs a modern and lively look. By tackling two identical armchairs at once, we have created a beautiful and comfortable duo that forms a true eye-catcher in the living room.

De oorspronkelijke bank had een klassiek design met een ruitpatroon in lichte tinten, maar de jaren hadden duidelijk hun sporen nagelaten. De stof was op diverse plekken versleten, verkleurd en de kussens hadden hun stevigheid verloren. Het was tijd voor een grondige renovatie om dit meubelstuk weer de grandeur te geven die het verdient.

What a difference! The sofa has been completely re-upholstered with a high-quality moss-green velvet fabric. This choice not only gives the furniture a warm, chic look, but also ensures a wonderfully soft seating comfort. The cushions have new, dimensionally stable filling and we have added two matching decorative cushions for the finishing touch. A beautiful example of how a quality piece of furniture can last for years like new again through re-upholstery.

De balustrade van de Stadsschouwburg in Haarlem verkeerde vóór de werkzaamheden in een staat waarin slijtage en veroudering duidelijk zichtbaar waren. Om het karakter en de uitstraling van dit bijzondere interieuronderdeel te behouden, was vakkundige restauratie en herstoffering nodig.

After the work, the balustrade of the Stadsschouwburg in Haarlem has regained its well-maintained and representative appearance. With an eye for detail, material and finish, the entire structure has been professionally renewed, in keeping with the historical character of the building.
